This just in for the 2002 season-the Techlusion TFi box. Finally a fuel injection management system that is inexpensive, easy to install, and truly will clear up the jerking and inconsistencies of today’s fuel injected bikes. When designing the TFi, Techlusion felt it was important to give the rider/tuner a product that was as easy to adjust, as it is to install. This system is different in its method of adjustment by dealing directly with the fuel injection signal after it leaves the factory ECU. It adjusts your fuel requirements without tricking sensors or modifying the factory settings, which can limit the ECU’s effectiveness at compensating for changing altitude or weather conditions. Some specific features have been engineered into the TFi box to help both drivability and performance. First, the TFi box has an adjustable crossover setting that allows the rider/tuner to choose the base RPM that the TFi box switches from its light, or “cruise” mode to the high performance mode. The adjustability of both modes allows both basic tuning and more sophisticated fine-tuning to adjust for specific racing situations. This adjustment crossover also has a load sensitive function that overrides the base RPM setting to allow an earlier crossover whenever large throttle openings are introduced at low RPM’s. Another feature that is unique to the TFi box is a built in electronic accelerator pump. If, while operating in the light/cruise mode, the TFi box detects a rapid opening of the throttle, a pre-determined amount of additional fuel is added to further increase throttle response and acceleration beyond what a factory map will deliver. So what does all this mean? In short, the TFi box is a safe, easy, and inexpensive way to increase throttle response, smooth out injection systems, and above all, increase power throughout the entire power curve.
